Moloch

As Moloch’s arms in ancient days

The thrashing, crying babes embraced

So, the world consumes the children’s children

Who have forgotten Moloch’s sainted name

If only they knew that offered up to Moloch’s arms

Were not sacrifices made in vain

But for all their searing heat

Saved them from life’s relentless pain

That far brighter burns and breaks

Than good old Moloch’s warm embrace

Satan

Satan lost temptation to a patent long ago

Banks took over dealing souls

When Hell’s stocks reached record lows

Which after filing for bankruptcy

Was bought up by conglomerates

As it’s good philosophy to capitalize on blasphemy

Now, there is no job for fallen angels

No demand for demon kings

Which is why the scourge of heaven

Deals in apples, tax and kinks

Mammon

Mammon’s first wife divorced him on the day that he was crowned.

Mammon’s third wife always knew the best positions.

Mammon’s sixth wife had five kids that made their father very proud,

As they all were politicians in a varied, uniform crowd.

Mammon’s twelfth wife bore him Jimmy,

Who was the greatest disappointment

When instead of killing prophets

Spent his life in unemployment.
